More than three decades of trust from our citizens speak volumes about our commitment to the pharmaceutical industry. We take immense pride in being the linchpin in the supply chain of medicines and medical devices to the entire public health infrastructure and our network of 55 pharmacies. The years of cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine of the UCG confirms the professionalism of MONTEFARM because students from the Pharmacy Study Program, future pharmacists, perform part of the practical classes in our pharmacies. Also, our pharmacists work as professional associates in the Pharmacy Study Program. Cooperation also exists with secondary vocational schools, majoring in pharmaceutical technician in Podgorica, Berane, and Nikšić. We extend our expertise to secondary vocational schools with a pharmaceutical technician major in Podgorica, Berane, and Nikšić, where our pharmacists have long served as instructors for professional courses and practical classes. Furthermore, we offer summer internships to budding pharmaceutical technicians, fostering their development under the guidance of our pharmaceutical personnel.
The Health Institution of the Pharmacy of Montenegro "Montefarm" was established by the Decision of the Parliament of Montenegro No. 1771 of 15.05.1991 ("Fig. Gazette RCG", No. 21/91) to provide medicines and medical devices to the population and public health institutions.
Over the past three decades, there have never been long-term shortages or omissions in the pharmacies of ZUACG "Montefarm" or public health institutions. A drug that would endanger the health of citizens has never been delivered or marketed, thanks primarily to our professional pharmaceutical staff, who are, in the procurement and distribution of drugs, guided by the fact that only a quality drug is safe and effective.
The past three decades of ZUACG Montefarm have been characterized by exceptional safety, quality and continuity in the supply of medicines and medical devices. This has been a crucial factor for the political, economic and social stability and security of the system, the state and the population, despite the challenges and temptations that Montenegro has gone through, especially during the 1990s and the recent COVID-19 pandemic.
