The Commercial Sector procures and supplies public health institutions (55 pharmacies, health centers, general and specialized hospitals, the Clinical Center of Montenegro, the Institute of Public Health of Montenegro, the Institute of Emergency Medical Care and others) as follows:
The Pharmaceutical Health Care Sector operates 55 pharmacies across all municipalities in Montenegro, providing pharmaceutical healthcare. The Health Insurance Fund of Montenegro (HIF) publishes a List of medicines, approved by the Government. Our pharmacies dispense drugs and medical devices to residents with a prescription from their family doctor. Non-listed medicines, auxiliary medicinal products, supplements, medical cosmetic products, specific cosmetic lines, and over-the-counter preparations can be purchased at our pharmacies and are not covered by the Health Insurance Fund.
The Department of Economic, Legal and General Affairs handles economic and financial affairs, automatic data processing, legal and general affairs, and others that belong to the domain of tasks of common interest.
The galenic laboratory sector is the youngest sector of MONTEFARM and was established by amending the Rulebook on systematization on December 27, 2021. He is in charge of working on the realization of the idea of establishing a Galen laboratory, that is, the preparation of extensive documentation for the fulfillment of legal requirements, harmonization of regulations, quality standards and necessary regulations in pharmacy. The planned Galenic laboratory will produce high-quality, effective and safe Galenic medicines. In this way, it will be possible to continuously supply pharmacies and other public health institutions with these preparations, which are necessary for the treatment and care of patients.
